This monograph is a tribute to the legacy of the “Second Teacher” and the great scholar of the Islamic Golden Age Abu Nasr al-Farabi who left a great mark in world culture and civilization. It also covers in detail the ontological, epistemological, socio-political, ethical, and anthropological views of the outstanding thinker. Al-Farabi’s metaphilosophy and philosophy of religion are also worthy of close attention. This study is distinctive in presenting al-Farabi’s main ideas from a comparative perspective, through their analysis and comparison with his predecessors, contemporaries, and descendants.
